Kids - what to do in area?

Other than the beach/pools, what%26#39;s to do for kids in the area? Mine are 7 and 9. We arrive next week.

Thanks,

KC

Many people recommended Le Grande Cirque to me when I asked the same thing. It is like Cirque de Soleil. It is at the Palace Theatre at Broadway at the Beach. If you go to the matinee show it is a lot cheaper. Also, I don%26#39;t know if it is still open, but Alligator Alley up by Barefoot Landing is on our list for next year.

With kids that age, your problem will be trying to choose between the many options. Just a few suggestions:

I highly recommend Ripley%26#39;s aquarium--fascinating and educational, but not too large so you can get through it in a reasonable amount of time.

Putt-putt is always a big hit--seems there%26#39;s one on every corner.

The Children%26#39;s Museum--http://www.cmsckids.org/

Feed the giant carp at Broadway at the Beach (they have food dispensing machines--only a quarter!)

Canoe/kayak the marsh. There are several outfitters in the area--just google ';Myrtle Beach kayak';.

Nascar speed park--http://www.nascarspeedpark.com/

Dolphin tours

Alligator Adventure park

etc., etc.

Medieval Times! If your kids like action they will enjoy the show and the food is good to. We always enjoy it. medievaltimes.com/Locations/Myrtle-Beach-Cas鈥?/a>

Dixie Stampede- We%26#39;ve been and while it was OK our family prefers the show style of Medieval Times. Stampede was more like a Broadway Musical with horses. Food was barely edible in our opinion. http://www.dixiestampede.com/myrtlebeach.php

I have a different opinion over coasterminister on Dixie Stampede and Medevil Times. We prefered Dixie Stampede over Medevil Times. I thought the show was more entertaining. THe food is basicly the same at both.

minigolf, minigolf, and more minigolf. MB has the best minigolf courses around.

We went to I-Max at Broadway at the Beach. We don%26#39;t have kids but there were lots there and they were loving the 3-D ocean and dinosaur films. Great on a cool or rainy day also. You can find discount coupons for 2.50 off ticket price and you can also see a second show for 1/2 price the same day. Regular price ticket is 13.00 .
