Golfer Gardener wants to know

My husband and I are tentatively looking at Beaufort

for sometime in the last half of April 2009 and I am wondering :

a)What the weather is generally like at this time of year and is spring in full force? ie. what%26#39;s in bloom

b)We are decent golfers who like a challenge AND beautiful scenery in a golf course and are looking for some specific golf course recommendations in the area

c) Finally, having never been to Beaufort (but have been to Savannah and Charleston, loving both!)if there is ONE absolute ';must do ';in the immediate area, what would it be?

In Beaufort, I%26#39;d take the carriage tour and just enjoy a day of leisurely shopping on Bay Street. Have the chicken salad at Sea Island Cafe.
