Please give me your opinions and experiences with the
Camelot By The Sea. I have stayed there a couple of times and I love the location. I just didn%26#39;t know how it compares to other hotels around it as far as price and customer satisfaction.
Thanks,
Cheryl
Camelot By The Sea
I stayed there one time. Not my favorite of experiences. The lobby is neat and tidy but once we got to our room it was downhill. In need of a lot of updates and I disliked having all the noise from the parking garage being attached to your hotel. I like The Breakers right next door. Paradise tower at the Breakers is great.

If you%26#39;re happy staying there then that is what really matters. Not what other people think and their experiences at Camelot.
we stayed at the camelot from 9/1-/94 of this year. Rented through vrbo and were allowed to check in at 9 am instead of the resort normal of 3-4pm check in. the room was on the 15th floor so the parking garage noise wasnt an issue. the room itself I cant really say good or bad. It was a room with beds, clean linens, an awesome oceanfront view, a tv couch coupld chairs dining table, utensils fridge, all we needed to cook in house when we did...I guess the only thing i didnt like was the open hall entry ways. I%26#39;ve only been to myrtle beach twice 07 we stayed at the avista...I would rate the camelot a 3star, avista a 4, nothing super special about the avista, but it was newer, and didnt have the open halls..
How was your experience with renting from VRBO? I met a lady in Myrtle Beach who told me that she got a great deal but I was always afraid to try it?
I have used VRBO twice....two different owners, two different condos. Great experiences both times.
vrbo was fine. Price was perfect. We were allowed to check in on a sunday at 8am and checkout was wed at 11am. Most resorts wont let you check in until 3 or 4 pm. sun, mon, tues, night so a 3 night stay at the camelot one bedroom with two queen beds 15th floor oceanfront was total of 285. Only negative was vrbo site said linens provided, which they were provided upon arrival however housekeeping never showed and front desk said they are not included when going through vrbo...reused towels, took out own trash(which takes approximately 2-3 minutes out of your day) and brief cleaning on our way out..wad definitelly worth it.. by the way dont be in a hurry. we left the cameot parking lot at 557am and arrived in avon at 730pm...drop friends off and another two hours back home to fort wayne so for us 15hrs, from indy about 13. enjoy.
