Easter opening hours

Can anyone tell me whether shops/attractions/museums have different opening hours over Easter please?

We might be in Savannah (or Charleston) but don%26#39;t want to find everywhere shut on Good Friday or Easter Monday!!

I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll find any problems with public attractions being closed on either day. There might be restaurants and stores closed on Easter Sunday, or maybe limited hours (closing early).

On the other hand, there are plenty of restaurants that have special Easter buffets (reservations in advance) on Sunday. This type of information probably won%26#39;t be posted till after the first of the year (guess you could call, if you have someplace in particular in mind and ask).

Easter weekend is usually in conjuction with a lot of schools Spring Break, so it is a big family tourist time.

Just in case and perhaps with it being not quite so busy would it make much difference to hold back for a week? Wider choice of accommodation perhaps?

Might be a good idea if you can work it out, some schools are out the week prior to Easter, some are out the week after Easter.

Waiting till after Easter will also make the water temps a little warmer, in case you are planning any water activities.
