Edgewater Inn or Best Western in Feb.?

Looks like I will make it to area late Feb. for 4 or 5 nights and both of these are in same price range ie under $50/night at that time. Best Western seems to have oceanfront view whereas not sure about Edgewater from their site although they seem to get better reviews. Appreciate any thoughts about this.

Best Western is probably twice the size of Edgewater. Plus Edgewater is second row property so oceanfront is out of the question there. Also yuo get continental breakfast at Best Western.

Thanks - have booked there and will have time when there to check out longer term rentals for future possibilities as suggested by you and others on earlier posts when I was looking at weekly/monthly rentals.

We%26#39;ll look forward to your report when you return. Our family stays at the Best Western Ocean Sands every July, and we love it. However, we%26#39;ve never been there in February. Most of the things we love about this hotel involve summer-time activities (pool area, tiki bar, outdoor breakfast area) which may not be open during February.

I can say this about the BW Ocean Sands: it is in a great location, the rooms are large, and the folks that work there have always been wonderful to us.

Thank you - still firming up travel plans but when I do make it BW it will be. Many Canadians head to MB in Feb. often for month - usually much better weather than Ottawa area and rates at places like BW a bargain, particularly monthly rates. With Canadian dollar down to 80% of US this is also a consideration for Canadian snowbirds these days.
