Just got back home Tues and wanted to post a couple quick shout outs!
1) Grumpy Grouper on Pope Ave. Went there Monday night we were on to something b/c they were packed. Sat outside and had great service and food. I had the scallops which were great and wife had blackened snapper which was good also. Waiter was super friendly and efficient w/out being overbearing.
2) We always hang at Aunt Chiladas when we are in town, but I never write anything about them. For those of you looking for a laid back bar to have some great drinks and decent food this place is great. Very attuned to sporting events and go out of their way to accomodate all the different fans. Get there early and claim a TV and hold on to it. Great wings, burgers, and mexican. Friendly staff and great happy hour drinks and food. A little divey, so if your sensibilities are tender might not be for you.
3) Finally, avoid Steamers, we have tried them a few times over the years, always hoping for an improvement. They have yet to deliver. Tourist trap for rubes. (they%26#39;ve gotten alot of my money so I guess that makes me a rube too)
