Anything to do with Tweens

I have a 10 and 12 year old

we live in Atlanta and looking for somewhere not to faar to spend the weekend.

Anything fun to do in Columbia? We dont want to bore the kids to death.

I checked the things to do board but saw a few parks but that was about it.

Need suggestions?

Also great places to eat...

We love BBQ and comfort food.

Riverbanks Zoo is world class...really. If you like zoos, I promise it is worth the trip.

Oh, comfort food: Yesterday%26#39;s in Five Points. Try the meatloaf or the Arkansas Traveler.

Barbecue is very subjective and South Carolinians like mustard based sauce, but Hudson%26#39;s Smoke House and Shealy%26#39;s are my favorites.

Columbia has some excellent museums downtown...I second the zoo. Maurice%26#39;s BBQ is good.
