Help - what is the hotel tax rate in MB?

I have googled this info - and I can%26#39;t find it. Does anyone know off the top of their heads?

I THINK it is 12% - but haven%26#39;t found anything to back it up.

Thanks for any input!

6% lodging tax plus 5% sales tax for a total of 11%. Some places also charge a daily resort fee of a few dollars.

Yep, it%26#39;s 11%

Also, be advised, that tax applies to restaurants too! I am used to hotels having a higher rate, but my first time in a restaurant down there I thought there was a mistake on my bill. I was told there is some difference depending on whether the place is in the city or the county, but I am not sure of the specifics on that.

Here%26#39;s a breakdown of all the taxes within the city of Myrtle Beach-
